This event will explore the experience of the Navajo people and how Catholics are called to support our brothers and sisters.
The feature presented is Sister Theresa Chato, who was born into the Edge of Water clan (on her mother’s side) and the Black Wood People clan (on her father’s side). She will speak on the integration of the Catholic faith and Native American spirituality and explain the challenges faced by people living on the reservation. See article in Catholic Extension. She serves at Our Lady of Fatima parish in Chinle, Arizona.
Hosted by the Social Concerns Ministry at St. John XXIII Catholic Community in Albuquerque
