Farm Bill Roundtable

October 15, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Bread for the World is partnering at the national level with Interfaith Power & Light to advocate for a just and sustainable Farm Bill, including the inclusion of provisions that address climate change and vulnerable communities.  Bread is holding listening sessions around the country, including one in Albuquerque on Saturday, October 15, 9:00 to Noon, at La Mesa Presbyterian Church,  7401 Copper Ave. NE.

The program will include a briefing by Bread’s government relations analyst Sergio Mata-Cisneros and a panel of local advocates, who will discuss what Latino and indigenous communities are looking for in the Farm Bill. We will also use the event to commemorate World Food Day, which is Oct. 16

The Albuquerque event is co-sponsored by New Mexico El Paso Interfaith Power & Light and the Interfaith Hunger Coalition.
