Two experts from the Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA) present on the recent policy reports . The report has big implications for New Mexico as our policy debates continue on the future of “Blue” Hydrogen. Specifically, IEEFA will present on:
(1) The important choices that states must make about the energy transition;
(2) The questions states must ask about the full costs and impacts of fossil-fuel-based hydrogen;
(3) The real world track record of carbon capture; and
(4) The strong market forces that are diminishing the economic future of fossil-fuel-based hydrogen and the likelihood of failure for “blue hydrogen” projects in meeting goals for economic development.
