Each year the International Day of Peace is observed around the world on September 21. The UN General Assembly has declared this as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace.

The Sisters of St. Francis, Clinton, Iowa and the Franciscan Peace Center are excited to invite you to participate in a special virtual program to commemorate the upcoming International Day of Peace.

The program entails dedicating one hour of silent prayer, as a group, to reflect on specific subjects. Each individual, community, or organization is invited to hold their own event, at a location and time which is most convenient to you.  The idea is that, while we will be in many separate locations, the power of our collective prayers will raise up the love and peace we all share.    Learn More
