Young Adult Conversation: The Disrupted and Dynamic Moment We are Living in

We find ourselves living in a moment of immense upheaval and uncertainty. The pandemic, economic collapse,  and climate change crisis affect young adults in enormous and challenging ways. Six young adults of various spiritual traditions will share and converse with stories, insights, hope and fears.

The conversation includes: Celina Chavez (Santa Maria de la Vid Abbey),Wendy Atcitty (Dine’ C.A.R.E, Navajo Nation), Rev. Emily Syal (United Church of Santa Fe), Arcelia Isais-Gastelum (ReNew, Mexico, ABQ), Clara Sims (NM IPL, Los Lunas), and Linda Sepulveda (Santa Maria de la Vid Abbey, ABQ).

New Mexico Wild to Host Webinar on Protecting Chaco Canyon

The Farmington field office of the Bureau of Land Management has released a draft Resource Management Plan Amendment (RMPA), and it doesn’t look good for the Greater Chaco region.

New Mexico Wild is hosting a free webinar to give an update on how this proposed plan could affect the public lands and incredible cultural resources surrounding Chaco Culture National Historical Park. We will also show you how to submit a public comment online. The webinar will take place on Wednesday, May 13 at 3:00 p.m. MT.

Sister Joan Brown Addresses Franciscan Action Network

On Friday, April 24, the Franciscan Action Network (FAN) staff hosted a Zoom meeting where Joan Brown OSF, Executive Director of New Mexico Interfaith Power and Light was the guest speaker.

“Sr. Joan’s talk was inspiring and challenging as she declared society to be in an “evolutionary, transformational moment” and called for us to be repairers of the world,” said the FAN site.

Joan made the presentation from her kitchen in the North Valley We  took a screenshot of Joan holding sourdough starter in a jar.
