IPL Leaders Attend Launch of Energy Efficiency Program

This week, New Mexico unveiled its Home and Appliance Rebates (HEAR) program, and many of our partner organizations were at the launch. Executive director Joan Brown, osf, and Rev. Clara Sims posed for the picture below, along with many partners.

This state program, made possible thanks to investments from the Biden-Harris administration’s Inflation Reduction Act, will make energy-saving home improvements and appliances more affordable for eligible New Mexicans.

New Mexico’s HEAR program will be rolled out in phases — starting with do-it-yourself insulation at participating retailers. Low-income owners of single-family homes will be eligible for up to $1,600 on these home improvements when they purchase materials at participating retail stores.
